Welcome to Rana Cabs Private Limited™️. We maintain a transparent, structured, and strict Cancellation & Refund Policy governing all our mobility and hospitality services—including brand-new self-drive car rentals, two-wheeler bike rentals, local and outstation taxi services, airport transfers, and third-party hotel booking facilitation. By confirming a booking, paying an advance, or taking delivery of a vehicle or service, you ("Customer," "Renter," or "User") explicitly agree to abide by all terms, conditions, and fee structures detailed in this policy without exception.

1. Customer Booking Cancellation Fee Structure ❌

If you choose to cancel a confirmed reservation across any of our services (self-drive cars, bikes, taxis, or hotel bookings), cancellation fees are calculated strictly based on the time remaining before your scheduled pick-up or service start time:

 ⏰ 48 Hours or More Before Pick-up: 90% refund of the advance booking amount (10% retained for administrative and payment processing costs).

 ⏰ 24 to 48 Hours Before Pick-up: 50% refund of the advance booking amount (50% cancellation fee charged).

 ⏰ Less than 24 Hours Before Pick-up: 0% refund (100% cancellation fee applies; advance payment is non-refundable).

 ⏰ No-Show / Late Arrival (Exceeding 60 Minutes): 0% refund. The booking will automatically stand cancelled, and 100% of the advance payment will be forfeited.

2. Mandatory Verification Failure & Profile Doubt Rejection 🪪

For self-drive car rentals and bike rentals, vehicle handover is subject to mandatory document verification and background evaluation at our Sector 33-D Chandigarh office or designated delivery points.

Your booking will be immediately CANCELLED WITH 100% FORFEITURE OF THE ADVANCE PAYMENT (NO REFUND) under any of the following conditions:

 ⚠️ Profile or Document Doubts: If at any point following booking confirmation—or during physical verification—our team has reasonable doubts regarding the authenticity, validity, or integrity of the customer’s profile, background, or submitted documents, we reserve the absolute right to cancel the booking immediately without prior notice.

 ⚠️ Failure to produce original, valid government-issued identification (such as a Passport or Voter ID) and a valid original Driving Licence or International Driving Permit (IDP). Learner licenses are strictly not accepted.

 ⚠️ Submitting forged, expired, altered, or suspicious identification credentials.

 ⚠️ Arriving under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, or intoxicating substances.

 ⚠️ Failing to meet the minimum age requirement (minimum 21 years of age for self-drive cars and bikes).

3. Service-Specific Cancellation & Rental Rules 🚗

 Self-Drive Car & Bike Rentals: Due to rigorous fleet preparation, allocation of pristine vehicles, and legal compliance checks, self-drive car and bike bookings follow the strict 24-hour and 48-hour cancellation tier rules mentioned above. Any failure to produce a valid license or clear verification at the time of pickup results in immediate cancellation without refund.

 Taxi & Chauffeur Services: Local and outstation taxi cancellations made at least 4 hours before dispatch are eligible for standard refunds. Airport transfers (Delhi, Chandigarh, Amritsar) must be cancelled at least 3 hours prior to flight arrival/departure time.

 Hotel Booking Facilitation: Cancellations for third-party hotel stays depend entirely on the partner hotel's individual policy, which our team explains at the time of booking confirmation.

4. Cancellation by Rana Cabs Private Limited ⚠️

While we make every effort to fulfill confirmed bookings, we reserve the right to cancel or modify a booking due to unforeseen operational emergencies:

 🚨 Severe vehicle breakdown, accident, or technical failure occurring prior to pick-up.

 🚨 Extreme weather events, natural disasters, political strikes, curfews, or road closures imposed by law enforcement authorities.

👉 If we cancel a booking solely due to internal vehicle breakdown or operational failure on our end, you will receive a 100% Full Refund of your advance payment or an equivalent vehicle upgrade at no additional charge. Under no circumstances shall Rana Cabs Private Limited be liable for indirect losses, missed flights, train connections, or hotel booking losses resulting from external cancellations.

5. Security Deposit Refund & Strict Account-Holder Payout Rule 🔒

For all self-drive car rentals and bike rentals, a mandatory refundable security deposit is collected prior to vehicle handover:

 Inspection Process: The vehicle undergoes a joint physical inspection upon return for exterior/interior damages, fuel levels, cleanliness, accessories, and missing equipment.

 Strict Third-Party Payout Prohibition (Privacy & Security): To prevent unauthorized claims, fraudulent disputes, or safety breaches, the refundable security deposit and any approved booking refunds will be transferred exclusively to the exact same person and bank/UPI account from which the original payment was received. Under strict company privacy and financial security rules, we never transfer funds to a third party—whether a friend, brother, relative, or any other individual. Claims by customers attempting to divert refunds to alternate accounts after the fact will not be entertained.

 Instant Processing & 7 to 10 Days Credit Timeline: While our desk initiates and processes deposit and refund clearances immediately upon vehicle inspection or approval, the actual credit into the beneficiary's account may take 7 to 10 business days due to payment gateway, banking clearance cycles, and inter-bank processing rules.

 Deductions Applied: The company reserves the legal right to withhold funds directly from the security deposit for:

 Vehicle body damage, scratches, interior stains, or mechanical faults caused during the rental period.

 Fuel shortfall (charged at local market rates plus refueling service charges).

 Over-speeding penalties, traffic e-challans, or illegal parking fines incurred during your rental.

 Excess hours or delayed return fees charged at full hourly/daily rental rates.

6. Non-Refundable Scenarios 🚫

No refund or compensation will be issued under any circumstances in the following cases:

 Early Return of Vehicle: Returning a self-drive car, bike, or taxi prior to the agreed booking end time does not entitle the customer to any partial refund for unused hours or days.

 Traffic Fines & Legal Liabilities: Financial or legal costs arising from traffic violations, reckless driving, or unlawful acts.

 Off-Roading & Vehicle Misuse: Damage resulting from driving on unauthorized off-road tracks (such as unapproved mountain trails), racing, towing, or overloading.

7. Refund Processing & Payment Timelines ⏳

Where a refund is approved by Rana Cabs Private Limited under this policy:

 Mode of Payment: Refunds are credited exclusively back to the original source payment account (UPI, Credit/Debit Card, or Direct Bank Transfer) belonging strictly to the primary verified customer. Cash refunds are strictly prohibited.

 Processing Time: While processing is initiated instantly at our end, the financial credit reflects in the beneficiary's account within 7 to 10 business days, subject to banking network and payment gateway processing timelines.

 Confirmation: A formal digital receipt and transaction confirmation will be sent via WhatsApp, SMS, or Email upon execution.

8. Trip Modification & Date Rescheduling Policy 🔄

If you wish to modify your reservation instead of cancelling outright:

 📅 Modifications requested 48 hours or more prior to pick-up are allowed free of charge (subject to vehicle availability).

 📅 Modifications requested between 12 to 48 hours prior to pick-up incur a 20% rescheduling fee.

 📅 Modifications requested less than 12 hours prior to pick-up are treated as standard cancellations.
